I had heard that the stores are being sold through auctions to dealers. That way AT&T keeps the points of sale but lowers their operations cost, while getting cash up front for them. It seems more believable learning that the company is also auctioning off DTV.
I bought my last phones online. If the stores can't help me with tech support, billing support, Digital Life, or cancelations why would they stay open? Are there that many people who need to see that the latest iPhone is exactly like last years, but with a bigger screen before they decide to buy it?
500 is correct, many already announced and the rest will be announced in December I’m hearing. They closed 250 with the first round in July. 750 is accurate as a previous poster stated. But I’m pretty sure you won’t be seeing any lists. Last round in July there weren’t any official lists. Nothing in CSP besides the Store Closure Hub.
Per VPGM the number is 500 stores nationwide

It is up to 500, somewhere around 500, per a VP.
I thought it was only 250. Where are you seeing 500?
