Normally dates differ, but this time, Fran was telling everybody that there is a desire to get it more aligned. Obviously France and Germany will not, but others? Who knows?
I’m in EMEA and my manager and BU is in SJ (well, it was until today), so I have even less clue.

So if I am in EMEAR in country A and my manager is also in EMEAR, but in country B, will he get notified now, or will the country A HR be notified first? I mean someone has to get a list of names at one point to start consultations.
Typically, U.S. dates differ from EMEAR and APJC.
No or very little worker protection in lots of Europe as well. Looks like we get to sit around for 2-3 months and hope for the best.
Depends on the law in the country. In the UK there needs be a months consultation. Other countries have works councils and all sorts so there is no fixed date. Unlike USA which can just bin staff at will. No worker protection in the good ol U S of A.
I love the new Job Openings at Cisco. None of the positions exist. They are there to collect data on the people applying and determine if their pay structure matches what they can get externally. If they have 25 qualified applicants willing to work at 75% the going rate, you can be sure anyone in those roles have a target.
You mean the "New Job Openings at Cisco!" type of notifications? Or emails from HR personnel?
Seeing the trend the last couple of years it will come country by country. Spread over the coming months. Time to remove the filters of your HR Dept and see if there are mails with regard to an 'offer you cannot refuse'. Which would be an message the admin stuff in the local country of choose is over and impending doom is coming.
