AT&T would have run Twitter into the ground just like it has every company it has bought since NCR.
Time warner had sizzle. It was s-xy. Actors and Actresses that AT&T senior management could associate with in golf tournaments. It could put big displays for GOT in its retail stores. Batman and joker and wonder woman. AT&T could act like it had arrived.
On the other hand, Twitter was just a nerdy software company. No way Stankey who can never see future trends if they hit him in the face (or even worse sleek snake Randall) would have picked Twitter. Twitter was the kind of company that Ralph De La Vega would have been able to recognize potential of. But the Randall Stank duo are always a date and a dollar shot...
Buying Time warner is a huge id–tic mistake for what they paid. $80-85 ,Billion is a complete rip off , of course when it's not your now it doesn't matter.
The game at T like most big corporatations is some, those at the top make bank, while the worker bees do they actual work , their jobs are at the whims of leadership..
Look at the proxy next year when Stankey will get over $20 million in compensation! Losing market share, falling stock price and shrinking assets. The only thing Stankey is focused on is padding his banking account. Shareholders would have been better off if AT&T was liquidated 7yrs. ago, investing the proceeds in Apple! Your investment would have grown 6 fold!!
First, AT&T sill pouring 4B to liser HBOMWX in the next 3 years, how many subscriptions AT&T WILL NEED JUST TO COVER THAT, after overspending billions here, there?
fact is that HBO is losing Fast its differentiation compared with other premium OTT networks.
At $14.99 per month, the new all-inclusive HBO Max is the highest-priced streaming video-on-demand service, and it's unclear if it will be able to grow much in an increasingly competitive environment.
Well I guess the WSJ and all of the other reporters and analysts must have “low iq’s”......same for folks that can’t see the value in HBO Max. We’re the one that just don’t get it can’t you all see this????! Haha drops mic
AT&T management is inept!!
