Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

This will be the rest-of-the-week affair

Don't expect to see this end today and don't believe you're safe just because you survived this wave. There are too many people on the list for them to get this over with in a day. Plus, was there ever a Cisco layoffs that didn't take more than a minimum of two days?

A former manager, whom I trust and have a lot of respect for, told me that anyone who hasn't received a communication as of this afternoon is safe. I wasn't asking about the larger company, so I don't know if this is just our division, or in general.

You speak with the confidence that conspiracy theorists do while getting basic facts wrong.

Yeah, there's been literally zero "news" in my part of the org tree, despite being told by my manager's manager this was going to be day of reckoning never before seen at Cisco. This has been kind of a bust thus far. But that's usually how it goes, though.

The ELT team will do whatever suits them. They have an army of lawyers to make that happen.

ELT posted collateral and what appears to be clearly defined dates for all the "events" so not sure how it can drag out. If part of the LR it says you will receive an email on 10/7 with your options if your job is deemed at risk.
