Makes sense - the Goal has always been less than 200k HC in Total- closer to the 170K number.
This spinoff just might do the job, lets look at the numbers:-
340K (Current HC) - 90K (Spinoff ) + 20% Attrition = 230k.
Next step is take out 20k or so from IBM BU +10% attrition = magic 170k number!

BS - GTS has right-sized by 15K reg HC in the past 3 years and another 15K subKs. No bench and lots of open seats.
