They want US to #growthebusiness but they don't wanna roll out fiber or put up towers..as long as we're deciding where we will & will not place fiber, we lose. Until the mobility gods can figure out that we don't have coverage in half the areas it shows we have coverage, we lose.

There was a project I worked on in 2017 to offer these stranded DSL customers to migrate to LTE. Essentially the same as what TMO is offering. The head of wireless products shot it down stating it would stress the network. It would have added close to 400k wireless customers and keep them with AT&T.

The leadership at AT&T is pathetic with little vision or care for the customer. I left the company soon after and am so glad I did.

These geniuses are always pushing employees to refer friends and family. Well, guess what, friends and family have T-mo for their lower prices. BS speed claims and customer service awards have absolutely no relevance where it comes to the bottom line. Wanna compete, give out employee discount to friends and family. If not, just STFU, and leave employees alone.

Wireless internet beats the original DSL by a country mile, except, maybe in price.

Same deal here. Better yet, just a month before they turned off their services to our town; AT&T was trying to sell FirstNet to our Police and Fire Dept. The Elementary and High School for our County is also located in my town. Thousands of subscribers of the perfect demographic. I let the guy (name omitted intentionally) that runs FirstNet know what took place. His comment to me was, "I don't really have any say in where RAN engineers support coverage. We just sell the service." Of course, I didn't share his reply with anyone in town but disheartening as an employee to hear.

Yup. AT&T recently shut down the its 3G mobile tower in my community of 2000 people which includes a major county Fire Department and EMT Team. Told us that it was "unprofitable". T-Mobile had their 4G LTE services up and running on that same tower within months of AT&T shutting us off. How many times has AT&T done this around the country? And is anyone really surprised when there is no consumer loyalty to the brand with this type of behavior?
