We haven't lost many people this round so I can't say, but for the rest of you: does it once again seem like the pay was the only criteria used to choose who to cut or did they for once get rid of the people who deserved to be given their walking papers a long time ago?

Hopefully all the exits from the TWO limits the amount in the next round.

If that's the case, and you are talking about the RSU program, the voluntary separation program should accelerate that vesting (at least mine says it does, but I don't have any to vest).
Check the details of the agreement– and ask questions (loudly).

IF OCP is signed, are we eligible for unemployment in California?
@yeb+17lVkVrr - I'm older (65!), and wanted to retire, but was not offered voluntary retirement and so will remain @cisco; at the expense of several much younger coworkers who, given time and training, I have no doubt would have surpassed my contributions.
I don't dispute your claim that everyone LR'ed in your group was older. But that doesn't mean that older people are being singled out. If they were, I'd be a happy camper with a severance. As it is, I'll continue working, and will continue to do my best, but I'd have given my position to younger talent in a heartbeat.
All of the people leaving in my group were older... every single one. The deep relationships they had with customers can't be replaced – and, this will have a massive impact.
Cisco used to cut folks based on fair and accurate "open" performance ratings. That went away in 2016 (or 15, can't remember). Now it's purely how much you make (ie midpoint for your grade or above), your age (big factor) and an "off the record" review meeting among the Dirs/VPs.
We were from a startup company acquired by Cisco. Gradually, our engineering management discarded us to bring in their own people.
