Why are people so stuck on thinking that if you work in this field you are stuck with it? There are plenty of other industries where your skills will be more than useful, you just have to think outside of box for once. Widen your search and you'll see that there isn't such a dearth of available jobs as most people think.

XOM hires attractive young engineers. Those who are let go have bright futures as Only Fans streamers. Think of all the Zoom calls the last few months as practice for a cam modeling career.
If I was hiring, EM for more than 5 years on a resume will be a direct reason for disqualification. Don't let these 40+ 50+ now PIPed employees gain any sympathy. These pathetic employees are the ones that happily brought the company down the drain by allowing management to rot.
There are, indeed. Just keep in mind your ExxonMobil badge on the resume doesn’t go nearly as far as it used to. We’re prepared with skills that EM cares about and most others don’t. Good luck everyone!
If I were a IT hiring manager (having known the “skills” developed by EMIT), the resumes of applicants from XOM will be sent to the reject pile straightaway! Especially those in supervisor roles!
OG ESPECIALLY XOM is like an abusive partner. Pays your bills and says you are nothing without them. Someone out there might not have the same amount of money but will respect you and value your contributions. There is life after xom
