Disgusting to have half of the the construction OPT’s be surplused last year only to be replaced with temps a few months later.

There’s something happening with craft because there was a lot of new hires to do BFS work, but the work is just not there! Now what, will T continue to pay its employees to sit around most of the week or is there a big plan on the horizon that is a secret? Or, will T face the facts and decide it’s time for a reduction in force...stay tuned!

Well no 60 day notice for managers so there is that. October is usually tragic.

If there is one, the next announcement would be around December 15th for fist quarter 2021. There are actually 16 pages of technician jobs at att.jobs. Mostly construction and in the southeast it seems. I assume these are for the 4-5 year fiber overlay project we have been hearing about. I bet these will be term jobs just for the life of the project. I have yet to speak to anyone in the union that knows anything about this. Not saying that they won't still declare surplus.

It’s only a matter of time for craft to take another hit and that’s all I’m going to say on the subject! Someone really needs to take a hard look!
