Cisco Support – CSPC / Collector group decimated

All San Jose NCEs, PMs, Managers and Directors were let go. RTP also got hit very badly lost many NCEs and Manager. Handful of NCEs are left behind. Partner will take over collector support work 100%.

Its a shame...but reality is that our new network toolsets together with s/w subscriptions, deploying an additional collector is both a lot of work and in many parts duplication.
At least that will be the mgmt view......

Take the money, move on. Go get some new energy elsewhere!

it was the old natkit, and I remember we would have to deploy it to our customer network back then ,when I has the account, extreme buggy code.. one time, they were using Cisco works as base and you know how that end .. only few people in the world would know this, in reality, this can be done easily with open source network management tool like Akips or cloud based tools.. you don't need to deploy these kits is the real deal if you force a cloud model on this..

these directors and managers all are leftovers from other service group, unable to find a home and hence got rotated into these roles by the king and queen, beside says yes to upper and beg to keep their job, no skillset whatsoever.. I dealt with few mgt/PM people , beside presenting some ppt, hardly anyone knows the mpls and bgp, nor snmp in detail, the unix knowledge is low if a rating 3 out of 10 per my observation.. ..

Good luck having partners support that buggy software. Partners/Customers depend on TAC and the Support Community to communicate with the actual TAC engineers who know what even goes on in the software.

Also, who do they think will support the Portals? You think the developers will do it? F— no. Clueless ELT removing everyone with the knowledge to actually help customers tolerate the product.

These support NCEs were hardworking. Poor guys used support proprietary buggy software. It was dead-end job. At least now they are liberated. I am sure they will find better job.

There san jose management was useless. Senior manager and PM were very political and were known for using charm to get ahead. Director was most incompetent. Managers in RTP were not capable.

This shows that the ELT has no idea how important the collector is for Smart Net Total Care which is what Race Track Maria says is the foundation for recurring revenue for CX. id–tS!!!!
