CISCO still has too much fat and fluff. Cisco needs to cut 10k to 15k more employees and contractors. It is still full off useless managers, directors and employees.
Routers , switches and unified communication products are old technology . Cisco can out source development and support.
Cisco advanced service is a joke. Partners can offer better service at 40% price.

I love quotes like “fat and fluff” like zero and positive contributions are the only possibilities. There are a huge number of people working overtime creating far more hours of work for others to correct their damage and the dashboard based management strongly rewards this behavior. Some are even called “heroes!” LR all you want, this has cost Cisco billions and will continue to do so and the real problem children will remain blissfully ignorant as they have for decades.

TBF, the Maria - Gerri thing has been on the cards for 10 years.....just took old guard clearout to make it start to happen and get cx/sales working/selling better together...although clearly not perfect....so many people (CSEs) that add zero value, they "facilitate" and repeat value from others.

KK masterminded the $1 billion stock buyback in April. Now they need to reduce the expenses by $1 billion???
They will cut at least 10K more or whatever it takes (based on number left) to get down to 60K employees. The days of ~75K employees are over.
KK's cronies have kept this company alive. Stock buybacks, dividends, and hiding debt is the core of Cisco.
They could cut hundreds of useless DevNet ‘evangelists’ and no one would notice. How anyone was convinced that an org that essentially makes no money (oh sorry, forgot about ‘sandbox’ subscriptions LOL) and only knows how to spend it should take over another disfunctional org that knows how to make money and suddenly make everything great is beyond me.

Word inside Cisco is that they plan to cut another 15K jobs by July 2021.
