Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Any impact within Datacenter?

seems there is a lot of consolidation / merging of groups like N9K and N8K etc - any idea what is happening to the server group? will they shift to an ODM model?

I'm not sure if OP means Nexus 9500-R which before being released actually was slated to be Nexus 8500.

There needs to be a consolidation of switches (Nexus, Catalyst, Meraki), and a consolidation of control plane management (ACI, SDA, DNAC, DNAC Cloud, DCM, VTS, Dashboard). It has gone absolutely nuts with (too many) mediocre management products. Also needs to be cloud first, instead of tons of UCS servers (in pairs 2 or 3) to make management work.
