Enterprise Sales. Management is failures that do not meet their numbers and harass those not in their cliques.
Data and Analytics. There are some very toxic managers there who yell at their employees and ones that do not care about them. Majority of Shanthi's directs are "yes people" who are afraid of her so they just agree to anything she says.
When you see an org outside of India that all the managers from the first line manager to VP are all Indians.
Channels under "he who parts the Red Sea" is a pretty toxic corner of Cisco.

I'm in It and it s—s. Yes it's a cost center and gets outsourced regularly. Management is a bunch of beaucrats and cliquey Indians.
If it's a product or service sold to customers that would be considered a business unit. Business units are safer than IT when it comes to layoffs because they generate revenue. IT generates zero revenue, and has constant budget cuts.
I appreciate details on IT, many thanks. Would teams that operate cloud security infrastructure count as IT, too?
IT is an extremely political organization with nepotism rampant. Directors/VPs hire family members through contracting agencies, and are focused on outsourcing jobs to India. I'd avoid IT.
Strategic initiatives fail at an alarming rate, which results in constant layoffs in SJ and NC.
Cloud Security and its not even close ... run by all ex router people now, who have zero security experience and simply poaching security appliance sales

Business Architects as a genre. Irrespective of any department. Just get rid of them. Lazy, irrelevant, ridiculous webex hugging drones.
Can someone elaborate on I.T., please? I'm asking as someone who has undergoing recruiting process.

The Data and Analytics org is a high-caste country club. Wasteful spending on self-promotion, without any accountability.
