Sounds like another scam. There were xSpeed and Robot many years ago. The VP and his clans called themselves "startup within Cisco" and claimed to be "innovative". At the end, lots of activities were created but those were only for them to pay themselves "new product bonus". Those "products" they "innovated" remained not for sale for several years.
If she was just clueless we could work around that, but she is the most risk adverse person I've ever met. ELT had to work very hard to find the complete opposite of what the head of innovations should be; this is not easy.
Putting her in charge of an innovation business unit is the same as putting a s–c-de bomber as a pilot. We know what the end result will be.
