Does anyone know what’s happening with Commercial organization at Cisco.
Seems like big changes but it’s all hush hush right now.

This will be why everyone is on H1 only targets then.
Most of the Cisco partners are no longer loyal to Cisco anymore, as they need to survive
They are signing up with VMware, AWS, Google, etc as they know that is the future
Guess they've forgotten about the "Partner led" sales model they tried out around 2011 in some EMEAR regions. Disaster then, and will be a disaster now. Like Cisco's competitors won't be all over those accounts and taking leads to the very partners that Cisco think are going to make their number. Oh yeah, everyone around back then has been laid off.
I’m not sure if global virtual sales falls under commercial (sorry), but a buddy in GVS serving commercial in RTP says quotas were just lowered, but all is well. Didn’t seem to think there would be any impact for that part of the org.
Wow I applied to the CSAP and almost glad I didn't make it. Sounds pretty bad over there these days
The days of high paid sales people at Cisco is over
Cisco will only employ AM’s to sell to the largest corporate and government customers
The rest of customers will only deal with partners
Commercial will be gone Feb 1st 2021
Sales to small/medium customers will be like auto industry sales model
When you buy a car you go to auto dealership and never have any contact with the manufacturer
If true this shows how stupid Gerri and the ELT is since the Commercial team was the only team to meet their sales number. Cisco is a sinking ship!
Gerri’s plan is to eliminate commercial sales org at end of Q2 to cut selling costs and have the partners be single point of contact for customers
What is a 'channel'?
Isn’t select part of commercial org
Is this for select as well?
Partner led. Yet they are laying off lots of channels.
A pooled resource is all I've been told. No details.
