Would be nice if we could know early rather then the constant fear of the phone ringing.

If you’re getting let go, you’ll get a private meeting invitation for a peculiar time length, like 15-20 minutes. If you landed a job, the job owner will typically just let you know.
Agreed with @1vfr+17q3EJoo. I have a layoff scar as well, so I'm familiar with what happens to you when you're laid off. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but it IS survivable.
Yup, if you get called into the Teams mtg and a HR person is there, it's all over for your Chevron career.
I don’t think it’ll be a phone call than a random 1:1 meeting calendar invite from your manager. When you join the call, HR will be there as well and your manager will read you a “get lost” script most likely. Got laid off before and this is how it went down.
Next week, unless it’s a leak. If it’s a leak, tell HR so they can fire the leaker and free up a spot for someone else.
Even in the unlikely event all selections are done this week there are lots of HR paper work to complete before announcements. Have another beer and chill.
No, it will be done by next Friday
@nor+17q3EJoo Is that nice?
I’ve already got some leaked info, but the official word won’t come out until next week...
There will be leakage (folks saying something before they should), but don't read into it if you haven’t heard anything before the 26th as job owners and delegates are not supposed to be saying anything.
If you don’t know when selections will be done, you deserve to be left standing.
