Hertz should stop worrying about awards and start worrying about making money.

Just called on a decision maker of a Fortune 500 company that is currently signed on with Enterprise that we have been trying to land over the past 2 years. Once I started pitching all we could do for his company based on our JD Power Award he laughed into the phone and said "Please don't waste your time asking for our business, we don't sign agreements with financially shaky companies that may not be able to honor their contracts". Time to get the resume polished up after 6 years. Sad but true

Whatever you Stockholm Syndrome pathetic follower.

Facts:

HTZ right now at $1.02 per share and quickly closing in on delisting. Market cap is at $158M

CAR right now at $30.34 per share and market cap at $2.2B and seeing a positive trajectory.

AVIS does try harder and it shows. Sorry to say that the JD Power award means nothing if you are liquidating in a few months. You still drinking that cheap koolaid?

Avis and Budget in the bottom 2. Horrible brands run by even worse management. Hertz may be bankrupt but ABG isn’t far behind. They won’t say but it’s really bad and getting worse.

Just remember this is a marketing award decided by just over 7k who sign up to reply to JD Power surveys. Not a real customer reflection of satisfaction by any measure. At least its about a thousand more than replied to the survey last year.

Here is the only scores that count:

Enterprise-National-Alamo- Making money, gaining market share, and laughs at JD Power award criteria.

Avis- struggling but will survive, sc-appy leadership, and doesn't have time to worry about JD Power nonsense.

Hertz-Dollar-Thrifty- Broke, huge debt, addicted to high interest loans, terrible management and corrupt leadership culture, JD Power wet dreams after watching Hillbilly Town Hall meetings, and being evicted from Mom's basement in the next few months.

Enough already with all the Hertz smokescreens. Hertz is gasping for polluted air in Estero.

Considering the fact that everyone left is getting raises and promotions probably pretty high.

If you think J.D. Power is won by hitting a “resolve” button in the “system” you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about and it shows.

This has and always will be meaningless award. Never once has customer purchased anything based the recipients having this award. It's a feel good moment that now Hertz has to pay them to use the name. However, a few leaders will get raise or bonus for this nonsense. Tell me when the stock has jumped from winning this plastic. Maybe Stone can put it on his resume but no real company care about it.

Put your efforts in winning the hearts and minds of your employees as they will treat the customers with the right level of respect that will have them continuously coming back. Enterprise and Avis are perfectly find losing to a loser who potentially will not be around for long.

YOUR PEOPLE is the banner you want to hoist. Win some financing and lose some debt while increasing revenue and then you will be seen by many as champions.

Should have spent more time running the business and making money than going after this cheap trophy.

I guess throwing time and money at this to make customers happy takes precedence over actually making money. Kind of like a cruise line giving away free upgrades, $2 drinks, and lobster on the buffet to get a few extra promoters- not a good way to run a cruise line, but a great way to lose money. Hertz is such a ridiculous company in every aspect- You just can't make this stuff up!!!!!!!!

Dear Huh? That's exactly what the C-Suite at Enterprise is asking. The Green Team vowed to win Back the JD Power #1 Customer Service Ranking for 2019-20. I guess more VP heads will roll in St. Louis. Tip-of-the-Hat to Laura Smith (her Team) and the Operations Team (Paul, Joe, Dewayne, and their respective teams). This award is not "bought"... it is earned. Congrats to the Hertz Team for being Repeat Champions under the toughest of circumstance. What a terrific accomplishment!

JD power has ranked GM the most reliable car year after year. GM has some serious reliability issues. JD power has some serious credibility issues. Also, as a consumer, how many of you make a decision on where to go based on JD power rankings? This award is only an advertising gimick for companies to show off but never really has any merit to it. What action was required by Hertz to get JD power award? They told managers to "close" customer complaints in the system by pretending they were resolved. They were never resolved though, just cleared off the list by clicking a button that says resolved. No checks or balances. JD is a joke. This is just a morale boost desperately needed by the team so Paul is touting it, which is fine.

Wasting the remaining cash to buy all the blue ribbons! Won't matter in the end. Still will need to be a closed casket at the funeral as the Hertz corpse will be nasty at the end.
