Today it was announce that HBS being absorbed into HBT and become Global Business Enterprises for all of HPT. I wonder how that is going to work with our proprietary software EBI. And what's going to happen to service technician's in HBS.

EBI licenses were quietly moved out of HBS a year or so ago so they could sell or get rid of the HBS core. That way they could sell HBS and not have any of the software. The quiet changes have been working in the background for a long time.

Don't worry. With main part of R&D and support recently transferred to China HBT will diminish quickly.. Bunch of new guys facing large amount of maintenance + marketing pushing on development while factories in Resideo buildings are going to be transferred too. This will result in anything but good future.
HBS? HBT? EBI?
