Been with T for over 3 decades and it really is heart breaking to see this once international icon self destruct without help from any outside influence or competition...really at its own very bad management!

They even sent the useless failures that couldn't succeed managung Digital Life to go ruin other teams. Failing upwards, a hallmark of T.
Oh and don’t forget the failed WiFi on planes initiative. Ramped up a large group spent a lot of money advertised and then folded. All within I’d say a year or so. Also, where are all of the initiatives from big data?
Comcast was after NCR. And then it was let go....
$40 Billion in lost market value. $42 Billion tax cut that was squandered and $160 Billion in debt. This management and Board of Directors couldn’t run a two car parking lot!!

Keep in mind that executive bonuses/compensation depend on these acquisitions. If they can increase assets, they get paid $. It's all written into their comp plans. They take the money and run. It's unethical but it works.
Don’t forget the $7 billion dollar acquisition of NCR in 1991 that did not serve any purpose to T which they ultimately ended up spinning off to be its own company.

Alienvault. Used to be great security solution. Half their people were gone in less than a year after being acquired by T.
