This was not a layoff, it was a shift. It was a throwing out and bringing in new blood. Our group right now, has over 15+ new hires coming on board. Some have already started and the rest start on Monday.. Think about that. Out with the old in with the new. Don’t let anyone try to con you into thinking this is a LR.
The layoff details were planned out long ago, COVID was a mask which allowed the company to shed product support for product that will be phased out, a total restructure of the company, make it more millennial friendly "woke"and yes, like a cult now. If you don't agree, just fire you. Get rid of expensive talent for cheaper new hires and make the balance sheet look good. Cisco trying to be bought? Chuck and Fran looking to move into California politics? Get their money now and get out soon? Seems like that is what Kelly did huh. Remove barriers on Cisco perception that they are not diverse and prone to lawsuits based on equity and inclusion.
