This posting is wrong, it's fake. It's click bait. Please remove. Layoffs did not happen as they claimed it would. "Next Week" has passed. No layoffs. There are no plans in Verizon to have a layoff in 2020.

Not fake. I can attest to the fact that Verizon today announced layoffs throughout the company. Fact is they're outsourcing more and more good well paying jobs, not just IT to India.
And yes me and others will remain anonymous in reporting this to not get penalized and lose whatever buyout package we're getting.
Except there were layoffs in September and now there were layoffs today. I was affected...I am in service management. Customer facing for vbg. Last month overlays were let go in the cx and UCC space for business group. Among others....high paying important to new revenue ...and cut for younger cheaper and not better.
Why this particular list aren’t almost all posts here wrong?
I find it interesting people thinks it's OK to make up lies and spread false and baseless rumors. What is worse it defending making up lies and spreading baseless rumors. These kinds of people are what normal people call bad people. Too bad your mothers did not teach you better, the difference between right and wrong.

OP, guess the admins are not as passionate as you are about this post. I don't know many people who believe anything they read by anonymous posters. It's more like entertainment. Layoffs are not real, until they happen to you. Maybe you should just scroll by these posts if they bother you so much.
It's amazing how much people get worked up over this. I never said (I'm not the OP) there were layoffs last week or even next week. I said "There are layoffs throughout the company most months." It's obvious you did not even read the whole post. And you can't name names on this site without getting blocked. But it wouldn't matter anyway, you would still not believe. And everyone knows someone in HR. Name calling is very childish. Peace.
OK smart A$$ ID: @6tjn. Post all the departments were people were laid off last week. Prove people were laid off last week. Show the data. You claim there were, prove it! Otherwise you are just another blow-hard that has no facts and you are making up lies on the spot. The fact was last week there were zero layoffs in Verizon and there are NO layoffs scheduled this year. My wife works in HR and she says there were NO layoffs. Prove her (me) wrong. Names of those that got laid off for starters and their departments you claim had layoffs. Put up or shut up!

@5gti+17sX9EjX What makes you think layoffs are "announced"? You think they are posted on AboutYou or something? There are layoffs throughout the company most months. Sometimes they only impact a handful of people. You'd never know about them unless they occurred in YOUR workgroup or a workgroup you interacted with frequently. Typically only ISPs and VSPs are announced and you know how frequently those occur. They are not layoffs.

Not true. I work for Verizon as a Client Executive and they laid off a number of UC overlays as well as sales reps from the corporate wireless team.
