Who else is looking forward to a year of severance and pension lump sum payments? I know plenty of retired-in-place employees who have been dreaming of this payday.

IOL is up to 24 months. And Canada has universal healthcare. Maybe these social policies aren’t bad things.
The USA (I’ve heard that AUS and UK we’re both given 1 year of pay but they have more social programs/laws than we do here.
@1prk+17sf59gv, in the US?
I’m expecting 1.5 months for each year of service. Else I will not leave! I will continue to display winning behaviours while I use my WFH time to diversify my income stream further!
I’m certain I’m not the only one.. survival mode ON!
Yeah..,you all are crazy if you think that this company is going to offer a package to coax people to retire, or that they will actually lay anyone off. The bottom two rank groups suggest they can both be let go for performance issues. They both need improvement...one just needs more. Fake PIP round 1 is almost wrapped up. Fake PIP round 2 is coming up next. And if you thought that the negative publicity and embarrassing leaks are going to change management’s behavior then you might actually deserve the fake PIP you are about to get.
Hang on...it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
Are you saying you expect them to give the option of 1-years severance in the US?
Because I thought the rumor was 2-2-1 (which, for someone who just became vested, means I’d only get 7 weeks pay or so?)
I’m a millennial. Target bracket for layoffs.
They will very likely skip over the longer service retirement employees for layoff since they expect them to retire soon anyway. If those employees don’t leave soon on their own, they can be PIPed next year on the cheap. The company will manipulate the layoff lists as much as possible to minimize the largest severances. Winning!
I’m an id–t because I saved enough money to retire early?
Do you really think this will be offered? I would not hold my breath.
