Why are HR immune ?

I have read of Cisco employees being fired on the grounds of discrimination. Yet when execs in HR have a case of discrimination against them why do the ethics committee ignore it. Does it not say that there is zero tolerance to any form of discrimination. Must be small print that says unless you are HR. So much for being able to come forward with any issue safely. Now if Cisco monitor this site, I challenge them to deny it deny it and challenge me to present the evidence. You won’t and you won’t go to court because Cisco know it’s true, yet you claim to be the number 1 employer globally.

HR ( for employees) in many cases is completely "directed" by the VP of your org., They are in cahoots. So any "discrimination" by HR is really what the VP of that Org wanted it to be.
If you want to deal with the problem, you cant go to court.. coz they will close ranks. You need support of someone above the VP level to hold them responsible to the COBC. HR at VP level ( for employees) is different from HR assigned to monitor VP actions.. When you have support from above_vp_level, you will see results very quickly.

To the person who posted above about me being a disgruntled employee. I would like you to consider the following and you can then judge for yourself if you truly believe Cisco HR.

First of all. I am no longer at Cisco I was there for 3 years, in the final two years I was awarded sales champion, so top 10% two years running. That rules out performance.

If you really want evidence or at least some of it. Ask Cisco to release the evidence of ethics case 131137362. The equalities and Human Rights commission in the UK believe the case has merit if I read their findings correctly, yet Cisco do not even respond, so how can they claim to take discrimination seriously. This is a government body that is impartial yet they have seen the evidence.

I am happy to present the case. If as you say Cisco are serious then come clean let me present the evidence. Invite me to an all hands so Cisco can answer the charges.

I feel your pain and anger. My suggestion is to take your exit peacefully. Just look around you and see how many companies give such generous LR (layoff- in english) package in this difficult time. Appreciate it and invest your energy in carving the next phase of your life.

i know in the last 5 years hr has told a mgr to just move employees that don't do their job.
they also told a medicaly disabled employee that they were not meeting expectations out of the blue. 2 weeks later gone. that was discrimination!

i know directors had repeat claims of harassment are not punished. .

hr is political, not focused on employees at most senior levels any more.

HR should always stay with the company. Just like the defense lawyers, they have the obligation to get the best benefit for their clients. HR is supposed to resolve any conflicts inside the company as much as possible, not to make the problem bigger. Just like the White House representative, she should always stand with Trump, no matter what. HR stands for Hiring to Resolve problem.

It is the Indian market. Cisco is alive because of India. It doesn't want to antagonize the current ultra-right Modi govt. John Chambers was awarded by the Indian govt to move Cisco to India. In return Cisco got the market.

Working 16 years with Hr and cisco had always taken this very seriously.

I am sure you have no evidence to support your claims.
