NO INTERVIEWS NEW HIRES???

I had a new associate tell me the following on how she got her job at Sam's Club:

She put in an application online
She received an email thanking her for applying, she was advised to follow the link to take an assessment
She took the assessment, two days later another email came congratulating her on passing the assessment.
She was directed to set up date/time for in person interview
A few days later another email sent congratulating her on being hire
She came in for orientation and even told the manager that was conducting the orientation that her interview date was the following week
She told the manager she never had an interview.

What????

No d–g tests any longer? No background conducted anymore?

This is how Sam's is hiring now? And then these newbies get the FT front end jobs over longtime seasoned associates. B.S.

Well this company is awful. They give the front end newbies 15.00 an hour, offer FT to them, it makes me want to scream. They hire and hire and we are still shorthanded...And why is that? Because they seem to accommodate everyone's schedule. When I was hired, I had three interviews, took a d–g test and waited for my background to come back. I also had to be available open to close 7 days a week.

They stopped d–g tests years ago. They don't d–g test for accidents anymore either due to OSHA discrimination laws. D–g test one. D–g test all.

It's the new Sam's and Walmart way. They will do anything to get rid of "seasoned" associates....they make too much money!
But you know...those associates could make so much more at a decent company!
