Verizon hired Award Solutions to train test and evaluate the field staff. No vendor training, just general knowledge training provided. Verizon hired out time study to evaluate work tasks and to determine manning levels for the field. Management sits at home, yet can never be reached the first time when called, always get I am busy in a meeting. Senior market leadership is missing in action, has not even held a general WebEx how are things going meeting since 3rd quarter last year. The new Verizon way appears to be that Management is hiring firms to tell them what their next move should be while working the front line troops like dogs. They do however spend lots of time and money on Politically Correct Causes, while preaching to the front line troops about waste and the need to reduce costs so they can spend that money to build out 5G. Most front line managers are entirely out of touch with their direct reports and spend most of their time in meetings or working on special projects rather than managing their groups. If you took away the special projects and reduced their meetings you could also cut their numbers in half. The front line would not even notice the difference!

All of our Leadership employees will most likely be laid off in 6 months......Replaced by Infosys, Cognizant & VZ India. Hopefully that includes Hanz , Shanks & Vivid
Verizon is micro-managed from the top down. Local management are just yes men. I agree the stay at home stuff has really highlighted who the slackers are. I wonder how long before upper management weeds out some of the dead wood managers at the market level?
