Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

TD talent wasted

It looks like TD’s ex-CRO landed at the C-suite at Google.

What a huge waste of talent and missed opportunity for Schwab!!! Instead of upgrading the senior talent in Corporate Risk, the old guard will continue with its useless bureaucracy and antiquated risk “programs”. Example was the BCIM risk program which was “green”, “strong” and “effective” for years until COVID19 hit and we had to struggle to work from home due to capacity and resiliency issues that went on unaddressed and misrepresented by the CRO years.

this move to google was planned long ago. don’t be fooled. the c-level parachutes were already put in place long ago. The talent will land comfortably on their yachts. If you are going to be kept you would have known by now. Good luck to those that weren’t

Someone should’ve been fired for Schwab’s WFH debacle.
TD was prepared and Schwab simply was not.

As a client of Schwab, I found insulting that you would make a point that TD’s talent being wasted is a “dose of reality”. I thought at Schwab’s core was to do what is right for the clients. That either got lost in the acquisition or you’re basically admitting “doing what is right for the clients” is only used when convenient.

There is no evidence you point to back up your claims. “Amazing talent” and “true leadership” defined by whom and based on which standards?

You sounded like you’re in PR trying to fabricate a narrative online.

That's why TD was acquired by Schwab. TD is now considered the K-Mart of financial services. Blue special trades anyone?

Par for the course for this company. There's a reason Schwab has a reputation as the Wal-Mart of financial services.

Sadly TDA's Risk tolerances are much higher than Chucks. So from the ERM framework on down its going to a Schwab Show.

Negative. We, Schwab, have an incredible Corporate Risk organization with amazing talent and true leadership. Same for our STS, technology area, with an awesome, experienced CIO and CTO. We didn't need TD's CIO. Dose of reality here. TD was acquired by Schwab. Not the other way around, nor is this a partnership of co-equal branches so to speak.
