Note the motion for the board, proposing an INDEPENDENT chair of the board.

2-3 years ago when the stock and economy were doing better than ever along with repatriating dollars and benefiting big corporate tax cuts: we can't give you a promo or raise because we don't have budget due to business headwinds.....meanwhile SVP + EVP promos all around. If anyone believes Fran & the leadership team actually believe in taking care of employees, dream on. They only care about getting themselves paid.

stock buybacks to prop up failing stock value shows lack of any imagination.

lost count of the ludicrous acquisitions in past 10-15 years, and how much was p*ssed down a drain in the process - probably way north of 20 billion. $3.7b for AppD which was worth less than $1bn but their BS machine was well oiled. Don't know what annual revenues have been since but likely under $100m. There has been an open goal in the network management space for years but let's buy an App management toolkit !!

Most were on Chambers watch, so can't put all the blame for failing on Chuck.

know its the pandemic and all, but I didnt toll for 10 years and get my CCIE for 127k, not getting out of bed for that total comp, you should be able to make over 200k even in this economy, whats sad is that cisco is cutting heads of people that make under 150k and would be stars at other companies.

Unpopular thought. Chuck has just inherited the mess Chambers left. Of course, he has not fixed it, but Chambers had burned the house down with his strange cronies.

multinational corporations repatriated $664 billion in foreign earnings in 2018—more than the previous three years combined—after the TCJA cut taxes on repatriated overseas earnings.

If effective corporate rates were cut in half, and firms had new access to $664 billion in overseas income, yet they didn’t spend that extra cash on wages or investment, where did it go?

CRS confirms what was well-reported at the time: Much of it went to $1 trillion in stock buybacks.

Brillance and vision must be rewarded. The real question is...Is Chuck getting enough? It would be a shame to lose him to a competitor....like Nortel or Sun.

Chuck fires anyone smarter than him which is a LARGE list of rock-star exec engineering talent that now compete with Cisco and are winning

Eric Yuan was made redundant. The good ol' boys club sidelined him in collaboration. A person doesn't immediately create Zoom if he wasn't abused at Cisco.

There are so many talented people that work and have worked at Cisco. It astonishes me reading these posts at how they seem "stuck" there. It is like the Hunger Games where they are waiting for their next drip fed nourishment to be passed down. I don't know why they are so scared to make a move...

If Eric Yuan was still at Cisco he would have been made redundant already lol.

Believe in yourselves!

Narcissist
*Money is a source to achieve status and power.
*They need to impress other people with their “perfect” life and money is a good way to do this.
*Preoccupied with self-aggrandizement to sharpen public opinion of their image.
*They fantasize about, and seek out, power, fame, status and money;

Median employee comp is $127K
Time to get a job at a real cloud company with products that customers actually need
along with a career path and raises instead of quarterly LAYOFFS
