It seems like legacy T technicians are bullet proof and will not be laid-off anymore. The company seems to have big plans for utilizing their skill sets, just haven’t quite been told what they’re going to be used for! The obvious scenario is rarely where jobs will be cut since there doesn’t seem to be a method to their madness!

It is not over yet. More store closings, Cricket wireless management layoffs, Time Warner, additional union layoffs, all targeted for fourth quarter. I am guessing by end of this year, AT&T will have somewhere close to 220,000 employees.

""There's nothing that's sacred anywhere in the business," AT&T CEO John Stankey is reported to have told the Wall Street Journal in a recent interview. "WarnerMedia is no exception to that.""

except me and randy's position because we can have the company lose tons of money and go into billions of debt and we get rewarded. how can they get paid for screwing a communications company during the rise of the internet. how do they keep getting paid and get rewarded. it is fricken bizarro world. nothing but snake oil salesman spreadsheet financial math.

how can you lose customers when people are locked down in their homes. has anybody asked the genius stankey that question. no he won't get questions that actually mean anything.

*Between June and September, nearly 9,000 jobs appear to have vanished at the US telco, almost 4% of the total.

*The disappearance of nearly 47,000 roles, about 17% of the 2015 total, in just a few years seems without precedent in the telecom sector. Nor does the cull seem to be over.

*"There's nothing that's sacred anywhere in the business," AT&T CEO John Stankey is reported to have told the Wall Street Journal in a recent interview. "WarnerMedia is no exception to that."

*At least there are still well-paid jobs for the top brass. Stankey collected $22.5 million in total compensation last year, a nice little rise on the $16.6 million he received in 2018.

*Stephens' haul grew by more than $1 million, to $16.7 million. And Stephenson, in his last full year in charge, enjoyed a 10% increase, to $32 million.
