WILL FOLKS THAT TAKE EARLY EXIT GET DOCUSIGN EMAIL ON OCT 30

The LR materials are awesome for the most part. One thing that's missing is a notation on if we will receive an email on Oct 30th with a link to a docusign separation agreement. I've tried asking HR Support Chat but as per usual the support isn't there stating technical difficulties. I want to overnight laptop as soon as it is signed so assuming Oct 30 we will get the email link to sign it.

Since when did Cisco start using Docusign for LR documents? Is this because of COVID-19 and the closed offices?

When I was LR'd, my manager had to print out the paperwork packages for everyone he was giving the HR speech to and give it to us. We had to sign a paper that he'd read the speech and given us a paper copy of the package. After the meeting was done, the manager clicked a button in some HR system and we received a "web letter" with same paperwork as a .pdf document.

We had to sign the agreement not to sue Cisco to receive our severance package and sign the separation paperwork to end our employment and receive our unused PTO pay and the "pay in-lieu of notice" pay. Then we had to mail said paperwork back via tracked mail.

I wasn't paying for FedEx/USPS tracking when HR was literally in the next building over in RTP, so on my last day, I signed the paperwork and dated it, took my laptop into the office and used the Automated Shipping Tool (AST) to print a FedEx shipping label (I made sure to put a friend who was still staying at Cisco as a CC so they could forward to my personal email), put the paperwork into a FedEx envelope from the copy room, put the label on the envelope, took the document over to Shipping and Receiving to get the FedEx tracking # instead of Cisco's internal tracking #, and then took the laptop over to the local Technical Support Center (TSC) to turn it in and get a receipt, then met my manager to turn in my badge.

With the pandemic and the offices mostly shutdown, I can see where printing a shipping label and dropping your letter/laptop off at the Shipping & Receiving office/TSC could be problematic. But since you have to go into the office to retrieve your personal effects that you (may) have left behind when they closed the offices, you should be able to print then/there.

There was a huge line to turn in our laptops at the local TSC when I was LR'd. I can't see them doing that under the current circumstances.

I'd think that they'd send you the link to sign any documents early as how do you get the document if you've packed up and shipped your laptop back? Unless part of the process is getting your personal email to use instead of your @cisco.com email address.

Make sure you put the request in to transfer your cell phone at least a week out if not two weeks out. They will be inundated with requests and you don't want to lose your service or number.

If it’s like the ER, you will get an email on your exit date with the details on how to sign your exit paperwork.
