People working from home in a pandemic and no layoffs yet people are still acting like someone peed in their Cheerios. The unemployment rate outside of white collar jobs is 40%. Let’s be thankful we have food on the table. Guessing I’ll be labeled a OFD shill in 3...2...1..

It commits to improvement to attractive forward P/E. It's also a nod and a wink that cash flow will be very good. But as you say there's no guarantee that it will ever happen and as we saw in February the market can go wacky in a blink of an eye. Fiserv does have a very good history under Yabuki for fulfilling their buybacks. It's basically what boosted their stock as revenues and organic growth haven't really been better than mediocre. The last 2 years tho they are showing good improvement. I would expect Fiserv to be buying back aggressively on the dips. It sounds like they are confident on a strong 4th qtr and going into 2021.

Isn't the stock buyback a little bit of a farce? Sure its a large number at a huge cost but it is authorized with no end date. That could mean two years, four years, 10 years before they actually spend a dime on a buyback. I'm not super familiar with buy back orders but the ones I thought they normally give an end date to make it more finite for the investor. This seems more like a short term play to push the stock higher and cash out before thing get really bad next year.

That is the only way FB knows how to make money is to cut employees and benefits.

A more First Data shills acting as Fiserv employees - people have been fired, alot of them for no damn good reason save reduce head count and expenses. This rarely happened under Yabuki who had his own faults too. FB has a greedy pocket.

NOW can we return this board to what it is intended to be - reports on layoff numbers,

Stock buyback, has nothing to do with achieving our merger savings. In fact, it is the number one strategy of OFSV. Can’t understand why any employee at Fiserv would complain about buybacks. What’s next complain about sales revenue, after that complain about profit margins. In total we have competitive compensations, bonus, commissions or incentives for all positions, very good benefits, a 401K, a stock purchase program, 16 weeks of pay for birth or adoption, 2 weeks for secondary care giver, a flexibility policy which was recently communicated, reward and recognition program, a leading company for diversity and inclusion, great managers, talented associates and we haven’t done one furlough or layoff. Maybe at Thanksgiving you’ll find it in your heart to actually be thankful that you are one of the lucky ones. Look around, people have died and your complaining about stock buybacks, shame on you!

Yeah, that came at a price. Glad cutting the employee benefits went to something useful.
