Yes, in numerous groups, especially in Systems. Leadership still believes in nepotism and is prevalent in all countries - not just USA. 3Q numbers were terrible.
Some heads??? GTS has trimmed its workforce almost constantly since its inception (remove costs is the mantra before the ink is even dry) The real problem is IBM always removes worker bees and leaves the management team in place. As time goes by, most GTS engagements are over managed not over staffed. As IBM shops GTS to their Indian rivals, this will become painfully apparent, and that is when the blood bath will go into warp mode
Think of all the IBM GTS that has been sold off or sunset. Some heads are gonna roll.
@1ous no, being in Lab Services was death row. We in GBS told your leadership that clients weren’t going to pay for it. I feel very sad for the individual contributors who yet again pay the price when id–tic leadership makes dumb non strategic decisions, over hires and then goes into mass RA mode.
