406 total. 250 were full time employees, the remainder were contractors.
Lots of layoffs in construction and service delivery in the west. Layoffs seem targeted.
Major issues with mismanagement and profitability in the CCFiber business. Records are a mess and executives/shareholders are getting lied to on the state of the business. Tocalino seems uninterested in solving issues, expecting him to leave/get ousted into his golden parachute.
Amazing how a company can take a turn from being one of the best companies to work for in the industry to circling the drain like this in less than 18 months (beginning of fall and institutional problems started long before covid). Three major reorgs in as many years with no clear direction and the promotion of mediocrity from legacy companies should have tipped us all off. Will be looking for another job before I get caught up in the next round of layoffs.
