I just looked at my schedule and saw that I was scheduled an extra day for next week's schedule. I know the day was not there yesterday as I check my schedule daily. I am part time so I am not regulated by a block, but I was always under the impression that I couldn't be scheduled more than 5 days a week without picking one up.

Stop whining & take the opportunity to make a few extra dollars while you can. If you can't work 6 days straight, you're a weakling.
Where on the wire is the scheduling policy? I got a manager saying they can change schedules, for people on block, within 24 hrs and a text message is sufficient notice.
Week starts and ends on a Saturday. I worked six days once a month and I was on block scheduling. Depends on where your days off fall in the work week. '
However, they can't schedule you seven days in a row.
What happened to being able to make family plans? What happened to scheduling 3 weeks out? Sams/Walmart should not be your priority...your family should be! Ever since team leads were given management passcodes and user ids, they figure it is ok to change anyone's schedule to suit them and their favorite minions! Good luck and try to enjoy your 1 day off this Thanksgiving week.

They can’t schedule more than 6 days in a row. But they can schedule you put to six days. Unless your availability says otherwise. Tell them you can’t do it and to find someone else. Bottom line the associates have to abdicate for themselves now that Personnel isn’t there to be their voice. If it bothers you, speak up. Otherwise they will continue to schedule you however they want. What you allow will continue...
@rnm You are a tool. You can't control being sick, or a family member that you may need to take care becoming sick or even a family member passing away. Sam's has no compassion or understanding when these events happen. Sam's only cares about Sam's. (Let's take a moment of silence to bow down to the almighty dollar.)
Sam's schedules as if none of these events could ever possibly happen and when they do, they are short staffed. (They are short-staffed anyway.) And of course management places the blame on the associate and not their incompetent policies and half-@$$ed schedule making.
