Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Think Big & Make it Happen: Get a new Job!

Folks you are kidding yourself in speculations and thinking.

In this covid environment Honeywell stock hit 200. It couldn't have done it without hot air and massive cost reductions or layoff.

Clearly this is a litmus test of H.leadership and their focus. Rev - cost - layoff = $ for wall str.

Make it happen!

You still think Honeywell is an aerospace company? Paper is cheaper than titanium and masks are far more profitable.
Stock will do nothing but climb the day Honeywell closes deer valley and 34th st.
No airplanes flying and stock at all time highs.

Most of the really large firms that manage money - mutual funds, insurance companies, pension funds, etc., have to always be almost all in stocks. They hold stocks long because that is the description of the fund. They can't raise a ton of cash or short. (Except hedge funds) So most big firms always need something to buy/hold. They buy great stories - they just need a good line to tell the public when asked. They don't even really have to know much about the companies. We see what goes on beneath the surface at HON. They blab about how we cleaned up the Panthers football stadium, wheeled disenfecting carts through airplane aisles, made a lot of masks really fast, how we have a ton of really smart young people, how we are working on a really big computer somewhere, how we have all this great useful data we pull off of airplanes and buildings. How much $$ does any of this make? Time will tell. No one rings a bell at tops.

Here's the thing. Honeywell has lost so much business from OEMs and aftermarket, that had the pandemic not happened, most all of leadership would be out. but they got lucky and can point to the COVID-19 as the reason for revenue misses and need for layoffs. Yes, some revenue came from flying hours, but as 737-Max starts up again, what content do we have on the plane vs the prior 737 series of aircraft?
