Rank and Yank Cisco policy is alive and well. It’s their culture.

Been gone several years and just checking in after one of my neighbors got LRd. Looks like nothing has changed. Just a different CEO. On a happy note, I am much happier, lost a lot of weight and now I don't get up before six or seven. Good luck.

I don't see layoffs coming. That is unless green beans really are green, bears (*^%^ in the woods, or MM and AB push out another useless v2mom. Nope, none of that can happen or is true.

Cisco focuses on BLM instead of how to handle business during Coronavirus. That is all I can say.

Will there be Cisco layoffs in 2021? Is the sky blue? Did Biden get elected? Are we living with COIVD? Is Kevin O'Leary still known as Mr. Wonderful? I think you know the answer.

The transition tech told me that I had "some choices" but that this was a big layoff and gave me more dates in Dec, Jan and then alluded to another big layoff in late Feb.

“They didn’t in 2016“...? That’s not correct...I took LR and the leaving package in Oct 2016...best thing I did, it was toxic then and sounds like it still is.

Well, if they had no layoffs next year, that would be a historical first.

I am very pleased with my Cisco layoff. I got my PTO and will get 6 months. The LRed are getting recruited by these other innovative companies who actually know how to do Sales and Marketing. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO SELL WEBEX? Marketing was targeting pubescent girls with unicorns and rainbows.

Unfortunately, it seems like it is the race to the bottom and online meetings have become a commodity. Really looking forward to my next chapter. I felt like I went back to 2005 at Cisco. All they did was redo the same powerpoint all the time. I wish my co-workers who are left the best.

Wonder why Cisco wouldn’t to do another cut before the holidays when things shut down anyways. Gets employees through the holidays and then some months, and no one is doing as much work during that time anyways. They’re keeping so quiet about layoffs in the media anyways, it’s not like bad press seems to be a concern.

Well there may not be much left behind after the holidays, all of the id–ts are packing the airports.

I cant tell about globally but here in the us we will probably be facing a severe supply chain interruption very soon from all of the people getting sick and dying off before a vaccine can be distributed.

Thank all of the id–ts packing into the airports for spreading the wave of death we are about to see.

I don't get it .Someone is saying they would pay you at least 5-6 salaries no matter how long you have been with the company. If this has been going on for 10 years or more it should not be very profitable overall because on average you will hit people who would have left by themselves or who have been with the company for a short time

@gnz+184HZCV8 "a second wave is coming " A 2nd? A 22nd maybe. It's been going on for years!

For those of you who have doubts, a second wave is coming
For me the writing is on the wall, I am not getting any more projects and someone already tipped me about that

anything more than 5 months severance is your PTO payout...
employees with more than 10 years obtain a larger severance

I’m hearing rumors that they are looking at the automation areas, so expect a cull there fairly soon.

I thought ~6 months was what they gave to the employees that were LRed in these exceptional circumstances (the August -September batch)

2 months + 3 months (if you sign away your right to sue for wrongful termination) = 5 months
