Had our monthly team huddle/safety meeting 10/05/2021 and was told by our manager layoff are coming before the end of year. I work in Netwk ops, or Netwk assurance, or some department that changes names every other year, too hard to keep up with anymore. FTP !!!

Leaving Verizon one of the most difficult and best decisions I've ever made. Verizon is notorious for layoffs and politics. Build a better life for yourselves. Wish you all well.

I know 10 people who were laid off last week. One of them had been with the company since 1990. I’m on wireline and I was informed my job will be eliminated at the end of March. Verizon reorganized the business at the beginning of the year and it’s been a cluster f—-.

1nuhg Your point about being separated during the pandemic is valid especially with Verizon's social awareness proclamations including Citizen Verizon. Didn't you get 2 weeks severance for every year of service capped at 35 weeks or has the severance plan changed?

Verizon laid off about 500-1000 folks Feb. 5th. Notification went out Jan. 7th. The lay off gave a pittance severance amount, only based on signing a separation contract we can't say anything about the layoff. I am shocked. My group is in Verizon Global Wireless Business Group. For a Gov. subsidized oligopoly to lay off folks during a pandemic while we're still meeting our numbers shook my inner soul. The insult to injury is, in November and December 2020 they had Verizon American citizens in my group including me, training Indians from India, hired in our group, not citizens to do our job. I was thinking it's due to our business growing. Turns out they outsourced our work and laid us off. This is criminal!!!!!!!!

The lay offs will continue until June in 3 phases. Verizon downside Managment in the retail stores by 2/3 by June 2021. First phase was in Jan. This info from a Article published by fierce with the concerns in change to the wireless companies and Verizon retail footprint. All stores will have one Sm and share a Gm with another store. Update your resume and Linkin info if you are a Verizon retail solution manager.

Verizon is now laying off about 500 ppl. I'm one of them. My entire team was let go. Most of the layoffs are coming out of the California area due to the high cost of doing business there. Those useful California id–t legislators up in Sacramento are working 90% of the companies out of California. The due to the high cost of living there, I ended up moving to Texas and taking another job with a better salary.

There have been layoffs the past couple of months across organizations. Of course there will be more layoffs. What those numbers looks like all depends on how bad the loss of revenue is at the end of this years.
