Plants moving to low cost regions, plant consolidations and workers being converted to contract actively going on in Aero. And will continue. There will be less people on Hon payroll. But I do not think it requires any RIF announcement.

When you work in a toxic environment, you face a slew of discouraging and challenging situations on a daily — or even hourly — basis. If you only had to deal with one inappropriate coworker or a bad boss, your days might be easier to manage. But when you’re facing a soul–sucking, constantly stressful and degrading situation at work, it’s time to take action.

Is your workplace just bad, or is it potentially toxic?

From the research we’ve conducted, several core factors emerged that contribute to making a workplace not just bad, but “toxic” — a work environment that is poisonous, damaging, and even potentially dangerous to the mental and emotional health of those who work there.

Yes, UOP offices in Antwerp and Role to be closed by june 2021.
Thats a goodbye to the entire hydrogen market as we will all cross over to the competition. Mgmt just doesn't realize it yet since they still think the (understaffed and untrained) India and China offices will get things done. Good laughs here....pay us our severance and we will fight this house of cards.

For all my Aero friends who make most of the comments here given what is going on in your industry, keep in mind the other business units (past and present) took many, many cuts in the years and decades past while Aero and parts of legacy ACS were less affected because they were the golden geese. They never want to take these sweeping actions if it is going to disturb the performance — it’s always much smaller impacts. Those of us in the other units that had visibility to how the other units ran saw how much leaner we were all the time than Aero and ACS. Now is their once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take advantage of the market situation and really make up years of deep cuts they’ve wanted to make and really lean things out. Notice the warehouse automation unit is the golden goose at the moment.

Folks, if you want to read the tea leaves, listen to the earnings call replays. Anyone who has been around enough knows they look for downturns to pull ahead years of incremental restructuring. All you’re seeing is several years of surgical cuts behind the curtain be done in full view all at once. Darius said they pulled up years of actions they were already planning to take. The only thing they’ll respond to is if enough critical talent checkmate them and leave on their own.

To: @1pfd+ They don't even need to bother laying off all those older workers! All they need to do is take somebody with 30 years on good performance review, and give them a new boss that doesn't know sh!t about what they do and tell them that they are tempted to fire them on the spot! Helps if a PM kept making increasingly demands to get his MIP complained to new clueless boss about employee. And Poof! The employee just retires early and gets no severance package! Wonder how I know that.....

It is always open season on older engineers at Honeywell. You don't need me to tell you that. Age discrimination? Yes. Honeywell worried about that? No. They've had years to learn how to navigate those waters. They've got it down to a science. No company for old men you might say.

So layoffs in 2021? Yes of course.

Always. A better question: What parts of Honeywell will be sold off?
