Why has ATT decided to force non vaccinated employees back to the office who had HR approved job accommodations to work from home ? This decision is right after suspending employees that weren't vaccinated for months until he got vaccinated. ATT Leadership agenda is create conflict between non vaccinated and vaccinated employees and risk employees lives and families since COVID is still ki----g thousands everyday and force employees to quit or die now that like insurance was cut to nothing as well. What am I missing?

Unfortunately AT&T’s BLIND Executive decisions on past purchases of Direct TV and Time Warner costing stock Holders over 100 Billion dollars, and their decision to sell off both just a few years after poor executive purchase decisions. Can someone please explain why Randall Stephens is being paid over a million dollars a year as a consultant to AT&T? He is personally responsible for stupid purchase decisions and the layoffs.

I predict that T will sell off Outsourcing and Managed Services to the highest bidder. It does very well and can fetch top dollar in the billions. This would allow T focus entirely on its core business, mobility! Also, assitional revenue to pay down debt. Just a hunch, I hope I'm wrong!

CWA in distict 7 reached an agreement with T not to layoff core and premis/wire technicians involuntarily through 2023. SUCH A DEAL!!!

Recent layoff notice was given Aug 26th, with 2 wks exit date of Sept 9th. No idea how many lost (one each quarter thus far 2021), but many happily leaving. Some of us just trying to make it as long as we can - being so close to retirement age and not wanting to start a new career.

Having just returned from the future, I will share with Leg T union workers what's soonto come in 2022: you'll go out on strike and never return. You'll be replaced by non-union workers all around the world willing to work for much lower wages and dispute the union's desperate fight, you will quickly be forgotten and the public simply won't care. The company will go on and you'll eventually be forced to work elsewhere for less money with much worse benefits under crappier working conditions and you will ultimately realize how good you had it, even though you always bitched about it and you blindly followed the union to the mess you're in. Sorry that your future is so bad. Perhaps some day you'll realize Harri's ploy to replace Joe...

It’s been a standard practice in ATT to reduce headcount in areas of the business that are struggling or shrinking in revenue and to increase the headcount in areas where revenue is growing just like I’m seeing and personally experiencing as we speak! That said, no layoffs in the near future in business services.

To the yahoo who wants "older" workers to get over themselves.. You got it all figured out, don't ya smart guy/gal. Let me guess.. You hired in after pensions were taken off the table.
Did you know that at&t used to offer a pension? Did you know that at&t saves the most $$ by freezing "older" employee's pensions? Did you know this makes the "older" employee a target for layoffs? Either you are uninformed or you're narcissistic and don't care.. A fair shake is what the "older" employee wants. To not be a target would be nice. Your comment is so incredibly shallow! I'd like to hear your perspective in 20 yrs.. Of course, that's the beauty of anonymous posting. Zero accountability.

For they guy/gal who said layoffs are rumor and can't be predicted... I disagree. I am no longer with AT&T; however, during my 20 yr career I made it to the VP circle. Not as a VP but a technical advisor. Since 2016, their goal has been to layoff 6-8% of the force. I even listened to a VP give a stern reality check to a group of employees indicating that 6-8% would be cut each year and they should just accept that now! So.. Not rumor or personal opinion. Layoffs at at&t are part of the business plan. You're better served if you speculate on annual vs bi-annual.

Forced retired March 2019 after 23 years. Best outcome possible; what a train wreck! Stankey could not jettison Randall's mistakes soon enough. Too soon to tell whether this dinosaur will stabilize or become extinct. You young employees are not indispensable; if you can be outsourced or offshored...bye, bye:)!

Anything you read on here is only rumor, speculation, innuendo, call it whatever you want, but it’s mostly personal thoughts. There is nothing concrete about layoffs here because no one knows, not even upper management at this point. I’ve dealt with rumors for over 3 decades and I’m still with T.

I was laid off in July of 2020 after 23 years with the company. With the exception of only a few years I received the Far Exceeds ranking. I Never really understood why I was selected, but am much happier being gone. Starting a new job with similar benefits and pay without the ever constant cost reductions. I think the company will eventually be non-existent (broke up and sold off). Many companies that were around 100 years ago no longer exist and I suspect the same for this company. There is a great life beyond AT&T! If you get laid off, take your severance and know you’ll find a better job!!!

I am one of the few who is planning on retiring this year, regardless of whether there is an FMP or not. I have made it through decades of layoffs, some very brutal and have against all odds, reached retirement age. My only regret in leaving voluntarily is that my boss will not be able to use my vacancy as a credit against a future layoff.

As a 20 yr employee, it's sad what this company has become, they push out fictitious numbers to meet while the facilities are 50 yrs or older and will not replace any copper, that bring in uverse services, and fiber is rolled out to low income places, treat the employees like sh–. I'm probably taking the next buyout. Used to love this job. But not no more too much micro management that has never done a outside technician job. p–p

AT&T openly embracing age discrimination with its new policies. Capping vacation at 28 days affects only their older workforce, lowering the pension contributions for those over the age of 50 from 10% to 7%, and capping salaries are all moves to target their older workforce. This is Age Discrimination

Duh, the beatings will continue until Stinky leaves. The guy that moved from the BOD is another dud. The whole BOD must go, as they all rubber stamped Ratty's failed mergers. Zucher needs to go!

Until then, nothing will put out the dumpster fire that is T.

yeah, i hear the sun wilk rise ib the East also, water is wet

AT&T will continue to have layoffs like it has since U first noticed in 2004.

Also it will cintinue to hire offshore, H1-B and contractors.

Never let accounts ir 'finance' people run the company. Accountants especially. .. they drive things into the ground and have double vision
