Maybe that greenman stunt came back to haunt him. Or maybe he had some pics on social media dressed up as goldie locks.... who knows for sure, but everyone knows that "want to spend time with family" usually means "I got canned".
IDK usually when someone has such a short stint at Ford it is because of a conflict of interest, or discrepancies on application discovered after hire.
I am sure the true reason will eventually leak to the press.

We predicted retirement of Quality VP. The quality department has been reactionary tracking organization for many years accountable for little more than tracking costs and speed of closure of issues.
Farley is looking for a lot more. He stated industry leading quality is a given for Ford and Lincoln to turn around in his first month as CMO
