Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

cleaning??

Not sure how other clubs are "cleaning" everyday, but in our club it's non existent except in the backroom. My favorite is the Walmart radio where the guys says" our associates are doing everything possible to clean" etc. What a joke!! Our tire shop has had almost half the associates out with Covid and yet no cleaning has been done! Someone in our pharmacy tested positive and a cleaning company came in to clean a WEEK AFTER the associate tested positive! I had to get tested due to being exposed, I missed 2 days work, put in that my absence was covid related and still got half a point each day! A lot of the same people are late ALL the time and shouldn't still have a job because of points, yet they do. This company s**ks!

We have at least 8 maybe 10 associates out with confirmed cases of covid and our manager doesn’t feel the need to let us know there is another associate out, his reasoning is I don’t want associates to get scared... more and more associates are going out weather it be covid or the flu because there is no deep cleaning being done in any of the infected areas forget about infected areas there is no deep cleaning being done period!! Someone needs to take a hard look at the way these clubs are being run. Managers only looking out for themselves

Sadly public places are the extreme when it comes to cleaning or more to the point lack of. Walmarts are probably the worse, but I stopped going to some Mon and Pop shops because I know they are not doing anything.

Thankfully at our club are maintenance associates are matured enough that they really clean and go above an beyond what is expected.

Our club is nasty dirty. The women's bathroom is appalling. Another associated out with COVID. At least they told us this time. I think people will fall one by one, gee where will people get their toilet paper?

It’s a complete joke. Walmart puts out the propaganda to the media só it looks like everything is perfectly fine. No one is cleaning, like they should be. It’s a filth invested, virus invested workplace. But hey, here’s another $300 for you guys to help us make our billions

Let's see.

Handhelds, radios, and keys never get washed or sanitized.

Our maintenance does the trash, floors and bathrooms twice a day, when the associates aren't pulled to work another area.

I don't know about the back room.

I see the café ladies cleaning their little spot.

Self check gets wiped down, when we're not busy (rolling my eyes, since we're always busy.)

The cart guys spray carts, and the ladies at the entrance door wipe those handles down with vigor.

Tire and battery never clean or sweep around their desk, so I can't imagine they do much in the back either, but whose fault is that, really?

Don't know what bakery, meats, or fresh does.

That sums it up for our store. Go Bucks!

Sounds about right. It’s been business as usual at my club. At this point I don’t care anymore. Someone in our pharmacy and shockingly the pharmacy was closed for a day and they cleaned it that night. The only cleaning that gets done is the floors every morning with the floor cleaners
