Hearing rumors out of finance in Charlotte that since we ended up having a good year and our stock is up, management is planning on refunding employees for the furloughs. Hope it is true. Would be nice for our CEO to show support for the employees for once.

Are they also going to hire back those they laid off? I’d be shocked if there wasn’t another furlough coming up. All that went to the bottom line to keep the stock price up. Be thankful you are still working at all is more likely to be the message from the top.

If you don’t think that some of the E-bands didn’t receive some sort of under the table promotions while many of us were furlough or RIF’d. You’re in the dark... Oh and it’s not no 5% increase like the rest of us. They take on more roles and responsibilities and receive a under the table increases. Hate to tell you this, but the ebands that got furloughed have already been reimburse. We were told to keep it quiet. We got a check on Dec 20th in the same amount that we lost with the furloughs. Hopefully HW does the same for everyone else.
Reimbursement for not working is a nonsensical statement.

20 years ago I would’ve given this an 80% chance of happening. Even giving it an 8% chance seems like a far stretch nowadays.

So if employees get reimbursed for furloughs did those that claimed unemployment, including the federal portion, how do they reimburse the states and the Feds.
Unless, there is a "lump sum bonus" in 2021.
