Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Few reasons to stay?

Long ago I decided that there are three important things about a specific job situation, or offer. Most of us aren’t lucky enough to get all three maxed out at the same time, but I think two out of three is tolerable but not just one. They are, in no particular order: overall pay package, location, and job content (including travel amount). When only one or zero are OK, it’s time to move on whether it’s to a new job or retirement. ///

I totally agree. I would like to add to the list the possibility of additional training and learning. Unfortunately, over time, the company lost the benefits that would be worth staying and fighting for a job here.

Well if you are in engineering if don't have challenging work and aren't learning or using the latest design tools you are in danger. Like a shark, if you aren't moving forward your career is going to die. Ask yourself if what you are doing is adding to your marketability or not. Don't hang around in a dead-end job. It won't end well.

Name a disruptive new product released under the Honeywell brand in last 10 years that went on to dominate its market? (100M in sales minimum)

N95 masks? .. selling those is like getting rich making weapons during war ( Honeywell NEVER does that, no cluster bombs or land mines in our history) ... immoral. We should give those away at cost or free.

Face it, unless you're a VP or above, you 're working in a sweatshop for petty tyrants, and nothing good is on the horizon for you as long as you stay.
