How much your performance rating affects bonus?

Speaking of salaried employees.
Your can get
Leading
Performing

HR now calculates STI and bonus and pay increase. But let's say you got "Leading" rating, what does it buy you? +1% of base pay vs "Performing "?

Last year I got “leading” and my STI was 115% of whatever the company- wide payout target was. My BPI was 4% but that is impacted by where you are in the geo salary ranges I believe.

Directors and above also make big $$$ with LTI Long Term Incentive.

@1nqw+18ItXoWX those are the funded targets, not what you will actually get. Performance ratings and business unit results are also factored in.

In the union, we get bonuses from punching in on the time clock and returning the bucket truck to the garage free from empty beer cans.

I’m not optimistic that we will be getting a bonus this year.

If you really want to have a huge bonus no matter what the performance is become a director or higher.

STI Short Term Incentive = Annual Salary * SG percentage (i.e. Salary Grade 6 = 20%) * the company performance multiplier (last year I think it was 103%) * STI percentage award.

It impacts the STI percentage award range:

I don't have the latest ranges, this is what I recall, but the point is your performance rating impacts the STI range.

Exceeds 95% - 115%
Meets 75% - 95%
Needs Improvement 0 - 50%

Your performance rating is also a factor in your BPI Base Pay Increase depending on where you are within your salary range.
