Professionals can join unions. Look it up. Also an operator once gave me a sticker in private and told me they needed all the help they could get. They would love it. A union is needed for all individual contributor roles to ensure due process is followed during layoffs and force outs. It’s would force the company to run as mean as possible.
Can't really unionize office work.. Hence why the company is sending your job overseas.
XOM employees are conformists. The non-conformists are driven out one way or another, so there will be non unionizing of office workers at XOM.
