One year ago the stock price was at $39, and today it’s selling for $29 and all of the c-suite will get millions in bonuses, perks and double digit wage increases courtesy of the Board of Directors!!!

And workers will continue to get paid, benefits, pensions. Woo-hoo.
The Board of Directors doesn't set the stock price.
This topic is getting a bit stale, in that, clearly, these executives are not being measured AT ALL on the share price.
How else could you possibly explain how no one has been removed from their position when the S&P is up 78.5% over the last 5 years...yet (incredibly), T is DOWN 12% over that same period.
No one seems to care.
Just waiting for the first dummy to post "it's dividend is good"... Dumb, dumb, what about the lost opportunity of growth? The stock has been flat for at least 10 years. Stephenson was the worst CEO in America. Stock performance proves it. Stock performance is THE ONLY CEO measurement of success. Stephenson failed miserably. And sadly, Stankey was his chief strategy guy. The AT&T board has their collective heads up their asses for picking Stankey as CEO.... SHOULD have picked someone not INBRED with AT&T stale culture. NOT TOO LATE TO GET RID OF STANKEY AND GET A CEO WHO CAN TURN THE SHIP AROUND. IBM did just that in the 90's with Gerstner... then they too screwed up and went inbred with Rometty.
T is the worst example of corporation greed. The only solution is a shareholder revolt which won't happen imo. That's because grandpas and grandmas are the ones invested in T and they are happy every 3 months when their dividend posts. Really, the company isn't worth saving except for fiber.
