Just heard from a reliable source that Schwab will be issuing 60 day notice at the end of March for employees to return to the office. That seems rather ambitious considering it's probable that high some high-risk people will be still waiting for vaccination in May and June. Younger, non-high-risk employees will likely be waiting much longer than that.

Dude, you obviously don't how to use these colloquial expressions. You don't say, "thank you for the needful." Something like this will work better, and is far more accurate:

Nigel has just confirmed and re-affirmed the commitment of 60 days notice prior to any mass return to work. And further stated that there are still no plans at this time to do so, pending the changing conditions of the pandemic. Furthermore, and to emphasize this part, the initial return will most likely be VOLUNTARY. So whoever posted this rumor about a mass return in March, and others who followed up wtih "I heard the same from real estate" and so forth, lets just call it for what it is. Bull.
Also the needful, needy, and doubtful need to comment anymore.

They have been working on a CR plan, as in Covid Recovery plan. It's a monthly exercise where they execute scenarios on mass infections. of COVID due to workplace spread. It involves Legal Counsel, outside counsel, to limit liability and how quickly they can let the infected employees go. This is the typical and equivalent exercise you have with DR in STS.
No idea if it’s true, but it’s definitely a company that hates work from home. It’s always loved those massive campuses.

I heard this as well. It does shock me that they are still not committing to a long-term WFH strategy considering we have proven that people can be just as effective if not more effective doing that. I guess that shouldn't surprise me with a company like this though. They'll push out this egregious return to office plan, then they'll get bad publicity and back track just like they did back in March. pfft
I don't know if the return to office claim is true or not but would remind everyone that this is the same company that has always had a strict policy against remote work and that forced employees to come into the office in the early months of Covid until the government and public opinion forced their hand. In town halls the SLT has also refused to commit to a long-term plan for remote work during Covid instead choosing to play it month by month.
I actually heard this same exact thing from a person in CRE (Corporate Real Estate) who has been prepping for a return to office. Why would the original poster divulge a source on a site that is driven by anonymity? That makes no sense.
