Got email today about AT&T TV employee discount...anyone have it?
Leaving by end of year but was thinking of switching from directv until I do

Verizon is giving away Disney + for 6 months and their cell service and customer service is awesome!
Once you retire from AT&T the discounts for AT&T TV, DTV and mobile go away or are reduced (mobile). So as a new minted retiree you are free to pick which ever services you want.
It's good on Apple TV; less so on roku
We use it across multiple interfaces and dropped DirecTV in favor of the freedom of product to use
Sling is right. Had DTV and they kept raising the price while deleting channels. Contract was up and I called
to cancel and we agreed to $45 per mo. Received bill under new agreement and them jokers charged me
like $114 per mo. Worked my way up to higher level who told me I was lying and I told him to pull the recording that they make for quality assurance. He came back about 30 mins later claiming he couldnp't find it and offered like $90. Told him no. We have an agreement. Told him that I'd go for $44 and he says, "you said $45 before". I said that right and everytime you mention price I'm going down another dollar. When smoke cleared I offered something like $36 and he says that ain't gonna happen. I must have told him 50 times turn it off at which time he tells me that we have an agreement. Yea - it was $45, now it's $36 - I'm not paying more than $36 now. Should have taken the original $45 that we agreed on. I said CANCEL SERVICE and hung up.
Been with Sling now for years, good price, good service, works great.

YouTube TV with no contract ...Dumped Direct TV
I'll add - the best part about any OTT TV service is that it's super easy to view on a computer (DirecTV s—ed at that), and when on vacation, all I need to do is either cast my phone to the TV (if possible), or plug in my laptop and I have my TV connected anywhere in the country (note that local channels will change based on your location, but your DVR recordings will remain)
I switched from DirecTV to Youtube TV after I got laid off. I did a lot of research on the various streaming services. YTTV by far has the best DVR, but people on the YTTV forum who used AT&T TV commented that AT&T TV had the best video quality of all the services (but the DVR s—ed)....
I pay $65 / month now for YTTV without HBO. If AT&T were cheaper, I'd jump on the offer.
For $10/month I get cable channels and HBO without having to pay for cable. Instead I just have Internet to my house. It works and has DVR service. Not as good as a real cable box but good for the money. I got the Osprey box as an alternative to Roku, Firestick, etc. Buggy but works most of the time.
