One thing I've noticed about Exxon is that the longer I've been here, the less appreciated I've felt. Other companies make sure to reward experience and good work but not this place. And then they're shocked when people walk away the first chance they get. I know I'll be out as soon as I find an adequate replacement job.

Save, invest, and retire early.
Most companies definitely do not PIP their employees and make them stressed and feel like garbage year after year (except for the top 10%).
What planet are you on? Most companies leave workers feeling under-appreciated. It's in the news every day. They make movies and TV shows about it.
Yall are in a matrix, unless you are out you won't know what kind of craq you are really in.
Make friends with your boss and colleagues? If you appreciate and work well with others you're more likely to be appreciated in return.
I was in a meeting a couple of years ago when an engineer stopped by to say goodbye to our Supervisor and your right everyone was shocked that he was leaving for another company. It almost seems like everyone is brainwashed in this company. There are plenty of better companies out there.
