My understanding is each department will be given the option to work 100% remote, partial remote with a new home based office in Philly/NJ/Wilmington. Hoping for my department for 100% remote. My commute will go from 15 minutes to over an hour if in office is the only option.
900 people work in KoP. They said there are 100 seats available in Philadelphia, 600 in Wilmington, and some in Pennington, NJ. They are assuming that even people who come to the office will only do so two or three days a week, so at least 200 could work in Philly, and 1200 in Wilmington.
Some departments will just go full remote (I hope ours is one of them). You can also ask to go full-time remote even if your team is moving to one of the new locations.
They said they hope to have the KoP building sold by 6/30. I guess we'll wait to see what happens. At least they're telling us about it now, and not the day after they sell the place,
Heard they are planning on big lay offs there too, for all the people that were slacking and not working, while working remote. Cleaning house in Syracuse.
What do these offices do? I work within the company, but did not know we had offices there. Roughly how many people work there. I’m sorry you all have this bad news.
Bad day here in Syracuse. Everyone is looking for a new job
Is this confirmed or speculation?
selling the buildings – staff will transition to other local offices (which are at least an hour away).
Layoffs or wfh?
Meeting @ 1pm... I work in the east Syracuse building . Can’t wait to hear what it is about
Heard the same. Assuming they plan on increasing remote work going forward.
