Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

My "last day" mentality

That’s how I think when I show up for work. Nothing is guaranteed, only the time I put in to get a paycheck. Do I let it interfere with my job performance? No. Do I vent at the way employees have been treated? Yes. But at the end of the day it’s a job, nothing more and nothing less. And when the time comes I’ll take my happy a– somewhere else and not give Hon a second thought - the same way they don’t to everyone else they’ve laid off.

Try showing up late for all meetings- Tell them you were on the phone with a new customer. Appear busy at all times and distracted. Set your status as busy or DND. That should get you 10 extra years in the hole.

Most people have no problem guessing when their last day is around “loudest in the room leads Maddox”. Last day is the day before he becomes your manager.

I jumped ship internally twice when he was coming up the ladder to avoid him. Too loud. All stress all the time. He does reward his favorites though.
He destroyed Honeywell product quality with a decade of outsourcing. Penang should send him Birthday cards.

Certainly true if you are in Aero ISC. I have worked in the past (hopefully never again in future) with Aero VP KS. Total psychopathic animal, fits right in with MM and DA. You never know when its your last day, specially if you are his direct report

This is a place to work of LAST RESORT! Former Honeywell CEO and Island monger, "You want loyalty, get a dog. "

I wish that I could be as zen as @OP
Too much anger to just grin and bear it.
I’m on a mission to ensure US new engineering grads don’t get misled and join this dead end company.

Why bother doing any more than the bare minimum for those who would toss you to the street to meet the metrics without batting an eyelash.

This is the harsh reality since Maddog took over ISC and now Aero. It's funny, when I connect with former VPs that have left the company, they all mention MM as the reason they have left. Reason why so many unqualified leaders are in over their heads now following the supreme dog.

Should've thought about that before you had kids and a family, personal choice.

Tough to do when you have family, kids and you're the sole earner. Can't just relocate.
